I absolutely f*cking sketched out on that jump today, nice big nose dive, if I had landed 6 inches further back I would probably have no jaw right now

12-by-20 foot drop on a hardtail, slightly hipped, and tailwhipped? Yeah, that might be worthy of picture of the day.

Super T... on what looks like a Bottlerocket... oh how times change from when he hucked everything on a 303 or a Santa Cruz. Man, I miss the good old days of Drop-In 3......

Nah, you can see he's not in control on the video when he's falling, I don't think he properly found the pedals.

It's a real shame that he didn't win though... he was riding really well, his runs were better than Boyko's, who was very average except for the 360 drop. He deserved it, actually tried to light up a very mediocre course.

@johnbb: that's not Stuttgart. For one, if you look through the photographer's albums, he labels everything as Stuttgart, and secondly, there are no mountains like that in Germany. Looks like North America, Rockies to me.

Yes he was. How does "not committing" work when he over-rotated and held on until he hit the floor?

The chainstays are a mile long, it would be the least responsive bike in history.

H didn't bail though, he stayed on his bike until it hit the ground. You're the one who needs to use common sense, petryna

Trail riding with a kid strapped in sounds OK to me but jumping, especially helmetless? If you've ever crashed, you'll know that there are some occasions when you can't help but roll, it's unavoidable. How much do you weigh? 160 pounds plus? How much good do you think that'll do the kid if something goes wrong and he bears your weight? Even when you're as good as you are, mistakes are made.
And don't try and defend yourself by saying your critics don't have kids - that isn't good enough, anyone could see that what you are doing is potentially life-endangering to the poor guy. Frankly the saddest thing is that you've got yourself a helmet, but nothing for your own son.

@ luke-89...

Rule number one when talking about pro bikes: never, ever, EVER assume that that is the same bike as the pros ride....

Whoa..... pinkbike, the religious community -133 = hefty, usually reserved for noobs. I never imagined this place would be so pious:

"Soul - shit. Yeah, I sold my soul for rock n' roll b*tch-" Cam Zink, NWD5 (ish)

Can you imagine Bearclaw or Lacondeguy attending a Sunday service?

Definitely not a 720 invert, it's a 360 backflip. In the penultimate shot, he's about to rotate the final 90 to land, only he doesn't. Insane move.

That is one dangerously contorted body... wouldn't wanna land like that, it'd probably rip your arm off
